Caleb and Roxanne met at Burnt Cabin Christian Camp when they were just 16 years old. Early years of their love story is full of ups and downs as most young love stories are. They were married in May 2008, without much understanding of the covenant they were creating, but time would absolutely teach them.
Fast forward seven years and their marriage has seen even higher highs, and lower lows than the early years. The highest of times include the birth of their children, Scarlette Grace and Carsten James. Becoming a family has shaped Caleb and Roxanne into the people they are today. The lowest of times were full of darkness, with utterances of divorce and backs turned away from God.
In this social media driven world, we see only the best parts of people’s lives. Caleb and Roxanne hope their writing first and foremost points you to our Savior. They have learned time and again that nothing is worthy of our hope, more than our Jesus. The Fosters seek to encourage you in your journey of parenting and marriage through their vulnerability and experiences. Raising godly children and cultivating your love for your spouse are two of the greatest things you can do in this life.
“The Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.” Numbers 6:25-26
Our prayer is nothing more than to bless even one person through our writing. We believe in honoring God through His callings on our lives, and we know He has called us to be vulnerable with you. We love Jesus a lot, and we mess up constantly. We are broken people, in need of a Savior.
We’re not always serious…rather, we’re rarely as serious as when we’re talking about our faith. We want to provide a glimpse into the silliness of our lives too. Because, let’s be honest, with two children two and under – it’s one giant mess.
